Chandler 4 Corners Designer Judith Reilly Featured in Victoria Magazine

Posted by

Judith Reilly, a fabric artist and designer for Chandler 4 Corners, is the star of an 8-page article in the July/August issue of Victoria Magazine. In lavish photos, including the lead photo showing many of her

"Woodstock Collection" hooked wool rugs made by Chandler 4 Corners, the article details the Brandon, Vermont artist’s awakening to her artistic calling in textiles.

A native of New York’s Hudson Valley, Reilly tried many different mediums before settling on fabric to express her artistic visions. It was her fun and colorful quilts, many of which have been featured in museums, that drew the attention of Chandler 4 Corners President Henry Chandler. “We love her whimsey, and the ways she expresses a country lifestyle through her designs. It speaks to the heart of what our company is all about—recalling fun memories, making new ones, and being out of doors. The fact that she is a Vermont artist means that she taps into our esthetic that much more easily.” Reilly has been designing rugs for the company for two years, joining the ranks of renowned lead designer Laura Megroz, another Vermont artist. Reilly’s rug designs, which she calls "catawampus and quirky" have been very well received.

Chandler 4 Corners, headquartered in Manchester, Vermont, makes products that seek to evoke happy memories and elicit joyous emotions with their hand-hooked wool pillows and accent rugs. Selling to top retail and catalog companies throughout North America, they now have more than 700 products to choose from.
